Movastacon Foundation facilitated the visit of the Mexican Ambassador to India, H.E. Federico Salas Lotfe, at Desh Bhagat University to host an interactive session with the students and explore academic possibilities in Punjab

On 16th July, an interactive academic session was organized jointly by Movastacon Foundation (MF) and Desh Bhagat University (DBU), with Chief Guest H.E. Federico Salas Lotfe, the Mexican Ambassador to India, along with other dignitaries such as Dr. Zora Singh, Hon'ble Chancellor of DBU; Mohit Srivastava, Founder President of Movastacon Foundation; Adv. Praveen Singh, Vice Chairman of the Punjab Medium Industry Development Board, and other high officials from Desh Bhagat University

During the session, Ambassador Salas discussed India-Mexico relations and emphasized the role Punjab can play in enhancing business and academic ties. He also invited DBU Chancellor and academic institutions in Punjab to strengthen connections with Mexican Universities. In response, Dr. Zora Singh expressed a keen interest in welcoming more Mexican students to Desh Bhagat University, highlighting the university's international outreach efforts and its presence in other countries.

Movastacon Foundation officials highlighted their previous visit to Mexico, which has resulted in key understandings and expressed their eagerness to enhance cooperation with Mexico, particularly in Latin studies, business connectivity, academic exchanges, and policy recommendations. Movastacon Foundation's principal forum, the 'Centre for Harnessing Alliances in International Relations (CHAIR)', is actively organizing international programs to promote foreign understandings in India and further cooperation within a strategic policy framework. They emphasized the role of Mr. Srivastava, the Founder, in promoting India-Mexico relations and fostering trade, economic, academic, and people-to-people connections.

Desh Bhagat University announced a scholarship program for 100 meritorious Mexican students worth rupees Five Crore in collaboration with Himalaya Club Trust and Movastacon Foundation, which was launched by Ambassador Federico Salas to encourage Mexican students to study at DBU.

Ambassador Salas emphasized the importance of knowledge and student exchanges between India and Mexico and discussed the Mexican scholarships for Indian students promoted by the Mexican Embassy each year.

Movastacon Foundation honored Ambassador Federico Salas with the Highest Movastacon Honor for his exemplary dedication and contribution to diplomacy and awarded Dr. Zora Singh, DBU Chancellor, the Lifetime Achievement Award for his extraordinary contribution to education and international academia.

The program also included student interactions with Ambassador Salas and other dignitaries, a visit to the DBU campus in Mandigobindgarh, and the inauguration of the Spanish language school at DBU's Mohali centre. This centre will provide Spanish language courses to the students and prepare them for cross cultural programs with Hispanic Countries.

Furthermore, Ambassador Salas interacted with medium and small-scale entrepreneurs, and visited the iconic Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) and the master planning of Chandigarh state map and architecture, including the rock garden and the government Museum of Chandigarh.
